Plot:
In 1983, Terry is an FBI agent settling into his new assignment in Idaho, striving to understand his life’s failures. He takes note of a series of bank robberies in the neighborhood. A local murder brings the situation into sharp focus, as does meeting Deputy Bowen, who knew the deceased. Terry is exposed to the white supremacist culture, which is mostly run by Reverend Richard, who educates himself using “The Turner Diaries,” a handbook to violently overthrowing the government. Bob has had enough of talking and wants to take action, orchestrating armed robberies and a counterfeit scam to fund his vision for the future.
